When you don’t have a plan…

Having a plan feels good.  It makes you feel prepared… reassured that you’re headed in the right direction.  Strategising is a sign of maturity, right?

But sometimes not having a plan and thinking you need one holds you back.  Thinking you have to know all the answers and where you’ll end up is like trying to know all the seeds you’ll plant and exactly what kind of forest they’ll grow into.

If you think back to a year, two years, ten years ago, did you know you’d end up here?  Did you know it would look like this? Did you wait for things that didn’t happen?  Did you surprise yourself?

After the pride of what you’ve achieved and frustration of what you haven’t, plan or no plan, what’s left is your values, what kind of person you want to be, and the next step.

That’s it.

It’s ok to start tiny. One foot in front of the other.  One blog post.  One video.  One idea.  One proposal.  One choice.  One decision.

One deep breath.

Let’s go.

I don’t know where I’m going from here but I know it won’t be boring
